Vision Framework

It would be difficult to set us apart from the sea of fitout contractors, interior decorators, contractors and so on without a series of foundations that guide us to our goals through the foreseeable future. No matter the size of an organization, and we are not shy to put it on public domain for everyone to see them, and before we proceed any further we would like to say how grateful we have  been to be able to read “Beyond Entrepreneurship 2.0" by Bill Lazier (may his soul Rest in Peace) and Jim Collins. Before reading this book we never stopped to think these things even mattered or what would be the correct statement to make on our planning board, we start by showing what a Jim Collins- Jerry Porras Vision Framework looks like, the BHAG's are Big Hairy Audacious Goals which are generally known as the Mission.

Statement of Purpose

In their book, i.e B.E 2.0; Collins & Lazier starting with “think of pursuing a guiding star across a mountain range" while we will go back to more of it later, we begin our statement with the how they describe purpose as “the guiding star, always out there on the horizon, never attainable, but always pulling you forward".

We set out on a purpose that would best position us different from the platoons of generic contractors, one that brings us back to reality, should we lose the motivation in competition and market downturns.

Our Purpose: Develop practical spaces for the occupants with instinctive designs.

We felt having occupants in the purpose itself would always remind us, spaces are built for people, the tenants, the users, the passerby's the visitors. Nobody finds an expensive, hyperbolic , exotic quarters that look beautiful to impress but overshoots its purpose. A friend visiting the city once stated that this city just appears like it “tries too hard", thinking about it; more than half of the shops in the city are so upscale developed, a person with low or median income just wonders if visiting that place would be a waste of time and money that they do not have.

Sometimes businesses dont fail, properties fail. The landlord isnt interested in giving any reductions or extra grace period to pay the arrears, its the job of the business owner to move to the next best place before their budget runs out. A shop on the main road, where traffic moves with no access to parking will always have shops fail, but a shop in the back road with no infrastructure can still do better if its visible to building residents if any in the nearby buildings.

Core Values

Our core values have changed after experiencing the regional work politics and seeing the scenario with our own eyes, despite holding the best values the challenges faced are by no means any simplified by any given company. However, having a set of core values that we put above everything else gives us a spine and a thicker skin when all odds are pushing to let them go to save ourselves from a market threat.
Here are our Core Values:
  • Provide the best solutions using latest, accurate tools and hardware to our customers against their proposed budget.
  • We shall invest in constant training and development to tackle new challenges in the field during installation and construction to the best of our abilities.
  • Hire qualified staff and provide them with the best treatment, incomparable to anyone in the industry and in the region. Prevent salary delays as much as possible to the stretch of the budget and economic conditions.
  • Fight slave labor problem as much as possible and avoid exploitation under any circumstances.
  • We don't just want to be the best, we want to be the most unique, our work has to be unique and what we deliver shall be unique.
  • Protect the weak from manipulation and exploitation under our belt and deter industry bullies with all force.
  • We do not believe in dragging employees to stick out with us without being able to pay their dues in tough times, whenever the financial situation of company is less desirable, we give them an option to leave in favor of someone else.
  • Have enormous amount of fun doing challenging projects, but make a healthy profit for our efforts too.
  • Charge No hidden fees and costs unless discussed prior to agreement.
  • Equal pay for equal work.
  • Having our fair share of corporate social responsibility.

Who is the founder?

Then I would like to introduce me myself “Mohammed Falah Khalid” as the company owner as well, 30 Years old young, enthusiastic, recommendation letters address me as hard working, ambitious, business minded man. M.B.A in accounting and Finance, capable of doing our own business case analysis and financial modeling, long time business owner, and that’s not all. I fix everything on my own, electrical, plumbing, tiling, mechanic, auto electrics, carpentry, and curtains, fixes anything that breaks, strives for perfection, holds a handful of degrees, and took an internship in Financial Modeling of a property development company in the Philippines. Now when it comes to your project, do you want a boss that acts like a boss wearing fancy suits or the patron that can do it all by himself when needed?

We are also looking forward to expand into other areas of supplying manpower as People are the gears of an economy, while following the guidelines and regulations of local governing bodies. Manpower can be outsources on contracts up to several months in the relative fields they specialize in. Since this is a new business we would like to bring added value in the form of new unclouded and unbiased thinking, because we believe everything can be done if done right.

My Family has been in the Middle East from past 25 years and I feel right at home here.
Why did we think the demand for business is still not saturated?
The Emirates is a region of never ending construction, our focus doesn’t strictly adhere to Dubai, we are willing to travel deep inside the U.A.E and if fortunate enough, across borders to wherever we are required to be. Emirates are also a business hub, an industrial capital of the region, expo hub, a tourist destination, and a window where the west meets the east. Quarterly, over 10,000 business licenses get issued in Dubai alone. Surely, we understand that when a new owner comes to replace an old tenant, they will not find use of previous design elements, colors and furniture to represent their new business. Adding to it is the factor where safety regulations change frequently in the Emirates and the fear that the work done by the previous contractor might put the new tenants at risk. Fires are a common occurrence in Middle East during scorching summer, add to it poorly crimped electrical wiring and excessive current loads on the circuit breaker, it is a disaster waiting to happen.
This means that the market needs someone that does what we do and that addresses the business case for Hired Hands.
